Awesome to watch the three of you work through things and make connections - great discussion, thanks for posting it.
I congratulate you guys on doing a great job with much uncovering that truly needs exposure where cover-up and whitewashing has been the modus operandi for nefarious evil-doers throughout time. But I caution you to not throw everybody under the bus. How or why you suggest Rumi, Sufi mysticism, or IONS as creepy and leaning toward the dark arts I don’t understand. Perhaps there have been “incidents” even with these (I don’t know of any), but if so, I suggest you put things in context. Remember that without our right-brain capacity to see- or at least attempt to see-the whole of things (the gestalt), our left brain craving for collecting more data/details/tidbits to put in our basket, we unwittingly abandon our original quest for integration, true learning, and recovery!
Investigative folks like you are doing incredibly important work, but without the necessary pausing that allows for right-hemispheric “platforming” within us, we will merely recreate new ways to bring further imbalance and conflict to our world. I commend you for your research (please continue!), but while you are rightfully “throwing out the old bathwater” of indoctrinated thinking, you’re potentially tossing out some babies too (that which IS precious/innocent/worthy of respect)
If we agree that life and all humans possess inherent dignity (despite our propensity to -f up), please refrain from painting with such a broad brush in some cases; at least have good evidence before blackballing those you’re pointing out. Also, while it’s so important for us to understand the insidious forces of mind-control and brainwashing, please also look into the neuroscience research of Ian McGilchrst, which is profoundly important.
