[Note: It has been pointed out to me that I have made a verbal typo and read 24,000 instead of 2400 died at Pearl Harbor, the written version of the article has all of the accurate statistics, unfortunately the audio is not so easy to correct and will have to be done at a later date.]
Curtis LeMay was my favorite for his candor, especially the regarding becoming a war criminal if (we) lost the war. Having worked inside the defense complex an entire career, I can safely say it is a giant hammer in a search of nails to smash down. The latest "Space Command" creation shows that there is no boundary to the machine. All paid for by debt. We are literally building the walls of our own prison collectively through fear, hatred and greed.
“On December 7th, 1941, the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was attacked by the Japanese navy, killing 2,403 Americans and wounding 1,178.”
It sounds like a verbal typo, 24 thousand instead of 24 hundred. Not a big deal in this context.

The article clearly states the correct number:
“On December 7th, 1941, the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was attacked by the Japanese navy, killing 2,403 Americans and wounding 1,178.”

Might be a typo but historical accuracy is important to the serious historian.
Well written article but a mistake has been made. At 2:09 you state that 24,000 people died at Pearl Harbor. In reality, only 2400 died.
Hi Thomas, thanks for letting me know. I wrote a note within the substack post.
You are welcome!
