Hi Cynthia, check out the book "The Phoenix Program" by Douglas Valentine. I had just finished reading, and was surprised to find your mention of this in videos that you and Matt have recently made. Doug goes into very much detail on the history in Vietnam with the French, the US involvement, and all the Phoenix details, how the program morphed over time, and how it failed for a variety of reasons. A very complicated situation regarding all the stakeholders in the program, and the politics, and corruption that undermined it, where it became a terrible influence on the people. Lots to unpack.

Love it!! 😀

Hi Cynthia,

Please consider entering your answers to 24 yes/no questions as described below. If you think a minute for each then that would be 24 minutes but I bet you could do it in less than 5.

Instructions are in the pinned comment there.

More Opinions On Wedge Issues

of some well known commentators, as far as I can tell...a work in progress

Hey Yet Another Tommy, thanks for this initiative but I don't think I can accommodate the request since the yes/no answer boxes one in too much. For example, the question "Do you support Trump" this is too open-ended. If I respond yes it gives the impression that I would support him in any decision he made which is certainly not the case. I am sure he will make decisions that I agree with at times and that I very much disagree with at other times. There are other questions that fall into this same problem so I cannot answer with a simple yes or no to these questions. I hope you understand.

Sure, I understand. If you change your mind, you could just leave a ? for any question you'd rather not answer and/or leave clarification in the comments. Also remember, OWA means your answers can mean anything you want them to mean.

Anyway, I very much appreciate and enjoy your work!
